The Ultimate in Chinook, Coho and Halibut Fishing

Vessel

Leaving from Port Renfrew, we fish from our 2005 brand-new" Predator", equipped with twin 115 Yamahas, 9.9 Yamaha kicker, GPS plotter, radar, color sounder, VHF radio and head. The boat is designed specifically for the Swiftsure Bank providing maximum safety and allowing 4 anglers to fish at the same time.

Fishing

We leave the wharf at 5:00 A.M. returning after 8 hours of fishing or limiting on salmon and halibut. All salmon and halibut rods, reels, tackle, floater coats and rain gear are supplied. Chinook salmon range between 15 and 50 pounds, halibut 20 - 100 pounds, and coho salmon 5-20 pounds. From June 15 - Sept. 12 we fish exclusively the Swiftsure Bank . Halibut are most abundant in June and July and trophy Chinook are predominant in August and early September. From mid-September to early October we concentrate on Northern Coho at the mouth of Port Renfrew. They are huge, abundant and a few minutes from the wharf. The perfect family trip.

Accommodation

Our charter operation is ideally suited for a one day fishing excursion for a group of 4 anglers. We are on the water at 5:00 A.M. and generally back at 2:00 P.M. For those wishing to commute from Sooke, Victoria and surrounding areas, secure parking is provided in Port Renfrew. For those wishing to stay the night in Port Renfrew, accommodation and meals are available at several facilities.

Rates

June 15 - Sept. 12 $ 900 per day ( group size from 1 to 4 anglers)
Sept. 12 - Oct 12 $ 650 per day ( group size from 1 to 4 anglers)
